解析  allow 为动词，表示“允许”，主语可为人（we），也可为事物（this place），allow someone to do sth 表示“允许某人做某事”。

找房子的途径很多，可以在学校或社区的布告栏（bulletin board）或租屋网站（website）找房子，看看有没有人贴出租屋信息、找室友（roommate）等等。和别人合租时，经常会先和其他室友见面，见了面如果感觉个性很合，才会让你入住。除了租金外，别忘了询问其它各种费用（bill），如水电（utilities）费、网络（Internet）费、有线电视（cable TV）费等等。
