孩子与大自然 Kids and nature
While many parents spend a lot of money buying storybooks and all kinds of toys for their children, Linda and John seldom buy any for theirs. Instead, they take them to the parks, to the beach or to the zoo as often as possible. They especially love to spend their holidays in the mountains or in the countryside. They always go hiking or go mountain climbing with their kids. They encourage their kids to walk barefoot on the grass or on the sand. They let their kids touch the flowers and leaves while introducing their names.
Like other kids, their son and two daughters can name almost all common insects and small animals; however, they learned them in nature, not from the books. Unlike other kids, they are not interested in video games and online games at all. The three kids are healthy, strong and, most important of all, happy.
Some of their friends want to know their secret about nurturing and teaching their kids. They would complain to Linda and John: My child is only six, and he is already nearsighted. He is always saying that the weather is too hot or too cold,and gets tired so easily. How do you raise your kids to be so healthy? and Linda and John will just smile and say, all we do is let them get close to nature. Nature is the greatest teacher of the world.

How does Starbucks meet such widespread success and continue to draw loyal customers? Since the prices of their coffees are not-socompetitive, their recipe for success is outside of the cup.
First of all, Starbucks is a relatively friendlier coffee shop for everyone. Aside from high-quality brews5, all stores carry a selection of food items and a variety of non-coffee beverages. In addition, its ambiance6 is a draw. You know what to expect when you step into a Starbucks shop—a warm aroma7, alternative music, casual couches, cozy environment, outlets8 as well as free WiFi. For many, Starbucks is more than just a coffee shop; its a communal9 meeting place, a home from home.
For Starbucks lovers, Starbucks is reliable and consistent. You can step into a Starbucks store in Beijing, in Hawaii, in London, and still know exactly what will be greeting you as you open the door. It gives you a sense of security and comfort like no other. Some of the regular customers, when interviewed, claim that Starbucks gives them a feeling of nostalgia, of homesickness, and yet simultaneously manages to wrap them in loving arms of warmth.
Howard Schultz, Starbucks CEO, once said in the interview with CBS, Were not in the business of filling bellies; were in the business of filling souls. Hes right. Starbucks does represent something beyond a cup of coffee.
